This page will be used by the appropriate personnel to add URLs representing the various types/formats of information, that the user may have to send to their connections based upon set policies. On updating the database, the user entering the information for their particular agency will enter the information as required, as to facilitate future users who would have to use that information in preparation for their messaging activities. Below is a representation of what the data entry form would look like.

The above information will now be used, at runtime to populate an active selection list, that the user may use to facilitate his/her active text session. When the user wishes to access this information during an active session he/she will click the appropriate button to activate this table.

Once activated the user will just have to click the button under the [Code] heading in the line matching their request. The URL will be immediately configured and the user's request will be carried out.

How To Get And Enter The URL

Whether you are on a mobile device or a computer, go to youtube or any location where an active video is being played. Go in the address bar of the browser and copy the URL location. Take this url as an example -:[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpMLAQbSYAw]. This URL was copied from the address bar. Take note of how this is made up.

1. https://www.youtube.com/ is the main website.
2. watch? tells the site to open a media player.
3. v= tells the site to look up a specific video ID
4. EpMLAQbSYAw is the specific code of the video you want to watch.

I have already formatted the code in the computer to accommodate the url so with a few adjustments, this is how this url should look like for the database https://youtube.com/embed/EpMLAQbSYAw update.

Note that I have removed watch?v=, and after the .com I have added '/embed/' followed by the video code. This is what has to be done to allow the computer, to accept the embedded code for viewing

However, in the case of an image or .pdf file like https://storage.googleapis.com/merino-images-prod/logos/nations/svg/GER.svg the full address and file path are required, so there is no adjustments made for these two formats. So just copy and paste exactly as seen.

Immediately below is the actual data entry form, that will be used to enter the data. Select the pulldown menu to specify the type, give a description of the URL, and then input the URL. When finished, click the Insert Data button to save the information. You can repeat this exercise for as many data items are required to be entered.

Note From System Programmer-: I have tested the data entry form and it is working as it should. So I would invite those persons, whose responsibility it is to update the system to do so.
